You can start installed programs using Windows Start menu (Windows-icon at the bottom left corner of desktop). It normally shows a list of recently opened programs and in Windows 10, it shows also programs that are pinned permanently to Start menu. You can see all installed programs by selecting All programs. You can also start typing program name and Windows dynamically shows you all programs that match.
