Safe handling of USB memory sticks
- Please remember to back up files for example copying them to network folder.
- Use USB memory sticks to save only files you need.
- Please consider if files in USB media should be crypted. Crypted files are safe even if memory media is lost/stolen.
- Remove USB media from your computer by using “Safely Remove Hardware” -icon at system tray.
Encrypting USB memory sticks
Several USB memory sticks often come with internal software that can be used to crypt files. Other option is to use BitLocker-software that is included in Windows OS.
